Waterside is located in the carefully planned, resort community of Dover Bay, in the heart of Idaho’s Lake Country. The four-season community is located in one of the west’s most desirable recreational regions and is perfect for nearly all outdoor activities. It is sited on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, the largest and deepest of Idaho’s lakes.
World-class skiing and mountain biking are less than 30 minutes away at Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort, the largest in Idaho. A year-round resort, Schweitzer provides nine lifts, 92 slopes, and covers nearly 3,000 acres. The nationally recognized, Arnold Palmer designed golf course at the Idaho Club is also less than 30 minutes from Waterside.
Over half of Dover Bay’s 285-acres are reserved in perpetuity as natural open space. These spaces are interwoven with the community and include recreation areas and wildlife habitats. This includes a 70-acre nature preserve of wetland and timber where natural wildlife thrives. The community of Dover Bay has committed itself to preserving a residential waterfront community married to an extraordinary environmental sensitivity.
DOVER BAY AMENITIES
From Waterside, a six-minute walk takes you to the Dover Bay Resort, the marina, and the Lake Club Fitness Center at the center of Dover Bay. Dover Bay Marina offers seasonal boat moorage, fuel, docking and a boat launch,. With 274-slips and deepwater moorings it provides comprehensive and premium boating services. Those include gated security, dockside water and power, a pump-out station, 24-hour fuel, an extensive breakwater, and an onsite boat launch, as well as a market, showers, and boat / trailer storage. The marina also provides seaplane access and service.
Property owners have access to the Lake Club Fitness Center which provides complete and up to date exercise and workout equipment, as well as a four-season outdoor pool and hot tub. The Lake Club has personal training and fitness coaching available as well.
In addition to its lakeside features and resources, the resort includes the Homestead Barn and the Lakefront Bungalows. Set within lush green lawns, the barn features dramatic mountain views. Dating from the 1930’s, the homestead barn has been completely renovated, and features beautiful arched ceilings, lighted by the warmth of several chandeliers. Up to 175 guests can be seated and served inside the barn itself.
That makes it an ideal venue in which to host a destination event. Guests can also be offered sleeping accommodations on site in more than 25 lakeside bungalows. The bungalows can comfortably house as many as 125 guests.
